SHE’S HERE!
Meet Lexi, the new addition to the
Lasdon Dinosaur Garden

Lasdon Park Dinosaur Garden
Gets a Facelift

Thank you to Genesis Pro Painting for their generous help and support working with FLPA to complete this project.
Genesis Pro Painting and Restoration of Bedford Hills, NY. Restoration Artist, Flipe RendonOur trail into the dinosaur era has quickly become one of the park’s most visited features (if not the most visited). With success comes maintenance and upkeep.

In the past few months, FLPA has retained the services of Genesis Pro Painting and Restoration out of Bedford Hills, NY. Flipe Rendon was able to give all of our prehistoric friends a touch-up and a fresh coat of preservative. Each piece was washed, sanded and scraped, and primed before re-storing the original vibrant colors of each piece. Genesis Pro Painting and Restoration provided exceptional professional services that are sure to bring long term joy to all those that visit the garden.

Additional improvements include the widened, easier access walkways, clean up, and a safety barrier along the path. We need to remind all our visitors that they must remain on the trail and not enter the vegetation or touch, climb on or disturb the dinosaurs in any way. Besides the hazards of poison ivy and ticks, the dinosaurs are not designed to carry the weight of children or adults. Please do not go beyond the new rope trail guides.

A new feature coming to the garden will make use of the free Zappar feature that starts at the entrance of the dinosaur garden where you can follow along with our newest host, Lexi the T-Rexi on your smartphone to enhance your experience.

It’s easy, free, and fun! Just follow the directions on the first trail sign you come to. Enjoy, be safe, and remember – they may bite if you get too close!
